Youth

Youth
Our youth Group is open to anyone in grades 6 through 12, both church members and non members alike.  We meet on most Sunday nights from 6 to 8 pm. We are a small, close-knit group but we're always looking to grow and there's plenty of room for new friends!
In our Youth activities, we are challenged to grow in faith and honor God in our lives while also having lots of fun! We like to take field trips into San Francisco, have overnights here at church, and even host fancy all-church dinners (for fun and profit!). Recently, we've gone Christmas shopping in Chinatown, visited worship at Glide Memorial UMC, had our own midnight worship service called "The River", and hosted our annual youth fundraiser Sundown Supper 2009 with the theme "Phantom of the Opera!"
Other activities include an annual Confirmation class for youth desiring to join the church as full members. Also, we have our Sierra Service Project (SSP) mission trip every summer.  SSP is a time for our high school students to help make home repairs on Native American reservations throughout the West while meeting and worshipping with youth groups from all over the country.
If you're looking for a place to meet Christian friends with progressive values, come on by and give our Youth Group a try! Any questions, feel free to call Jake Ritter (the Family Ministries Coordinator) at 934-4208 ext. 207 or email jnritter86@gmail.com.
